Arai Keerai Poriyal / Greens Stir Fry



Ingredients

  • Arai Keerai - 2 bunches chopped
  • Small Onion - 10 to 12 chopped
  • Coconut - 2 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Urad dal - 1 tsp
  • Red Chilli – 2
  • Salt to taste

Preparation



  • Wash, drain and squeeze the excess water in the leaves (keerai).
  • Heat the pan with oil, add mustard seeds and allow it to spit.
  • Add urad dal, red chilli and onion, cook till it turns transparent.
  • Now add the keerai (green leaves) and salt, sprinkle few drops of water, cover and cook in medium flame till the water evaporates.
  • After the water evaporates, add the shredded coconut, mix well and switch off the flame.
  • Ready to serve healthy Arai keerai poriyal with warm rice.
