Homemade Idli Milagai Podi / Idli Chilli Powder Recipe


Ingredients
  • Urad Dal – 1 cup 
  • Chana Dal - 1/2 cup 
  • Dried Red Chillies – 10 - 12 (according to you spicy taste)
  • Curry Leaves - few
  • Asafoetida - 3/4 tsp 
  • Rock Salt to taste
Preparation


  • Dry roast the dal separately (channa & urad) till slight brown.
  • Then roast chilies and curry leaf till crispy.
  • Finally add asafoetida. Keep aside and allow to cool.
  • Add necessary salt and grind the roasted ingredients to a coarse mix or fine powder.
  • Cool down and store it in box and enjoy the taste. Use gingelly and coconut oil.
  • Ready to use Idli Milagai Podi with idli and dosa.
  • Easy and tasty homemade idly podi.
