Ingredients
- Raw banana / vazhakkai - 1
- Onion – 1 chopped
- Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
- Mustard - 3/4 tsp
- Coconut - 4 tbsp
- Coriander seeds - 1 tsp
- Pepper – 1 tsp
- Jeera - 1 tsp
- Red chilli -1
- Garlic -3
- Curry leaves - 1
- Oil - 2 tsp
- Salt
Preparation
- Peel the skin of raw banana and cut into small pieces and put in water.
- Now grind coconut, coriander seeds, pepper, jeera, chilli and garlic by adding little water to a rough paste.
- Heat the pan with oil and add mustard, after split add turmeric, onions fry till color change.
- Then add the ground paste saute 2 mins and add the raw banana and salt, mix well and add 1 glass of water. Cover and cook in medium flame.
- After water evaporates, open the lid and add 1 tsp oil, curry leaves mix well, keep frying 5 mins in low flame.
- Ready to serve raw banana / vazhakkai curry recipe with sambar rice, curd rice and chappati.
