Ingredients
- Amaranth leaves / Mullai keerai - 1 bunch
- Onion - 1 finely chopped
- Green chili / red chili - 2 to 3
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 2 to 3 tsp
- Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Grated coconut - 2 tbsp
Preparation
- Clean and wash the red green leaves, drain the water and chop finely along with tender stem. Keep aside.
- Heat the pan with oil, add cumin seeds and chili. Saute for a min.
- Now add chopped onion and fry till onion turn transparent.
- Now add chopped leaves, salt, sprinkle water and mix well.
- Cook in medium flame till the green leaves becomes soft and water dry out.
- Finally sprinkle grated coconut and mix well. Off the flame.
