Ingredients
- Arai Keerai - 2 bunches chopped
- Small Onion - 10 to 12 chopped
- Coconut - 2 tbsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Urad dal - 1 tsp
- Red Chilli – 2
- Salt to taste
Preparation
- Wash, drain and squeeze the excess water in the leaves (keerai).
- Heat the pan with oil, add mustard seeds and allow it to spit.
- Add urad dal, red chilli and onion, cook till it turns transparent.
- Now add the keerai (green leaves) and salt, sprinkle few drops of water, cover and cook in medium flame till the water evaporates.
- After the water evaporates, add the shredded coconut, mix well and switch off the flame.
- Ready to serve healthy Arai keerai poriyal with warm rice.
