Ingredients
- Large red onions -1 sliced
- Bajji flour ready mix – 1/2 cup (available in store) Or use the below items
- Bengal gram flour -1/2 cup
- Rice flour – 2 tbsp
- Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Green chilies chopped - 3 or red chilli powder – 2 tsp
- Garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves few chopped
- Asafoetida - 1/2 tsp
- Salt as needed
- Oil for frying
Preparation
- Mix all the ingredients together except onion and oil.
- Check for salt and spicy taste.
- Now heat the pan with oil.
- Add onion to the flour mixture, mix well.
- Now add water very less amount. Don’t add much water.
- Add 1tbsp of hot oil to the mixture and mix well.
- If you feel the mixture look dry, add few drops of water and mix.
- Now add the onion mixture to oil (just sprinkled) and fry till golden colour on medium flame.
- Remove and place the baji on kitchen tissue.
- Ready to serve Onion thool bajji with coconut chutney, Idli Milagai Podi or tomato sauce.
