Some kids not interested in eating veggies. Here we have a great idea to make them to eat veggitable.
Try to taste the chutney with dosa,
chappathi, and poori.
Ingredients:
- Snake gourd / pudalangai – 1cup
- Chana dal – 1 tbsp
- Urad dal – 1 tsp
- Garlic – 2
- Ginger – 1 inch
- Cumin – 1 tsp
- Red/green chilies – 3
- Coconut shredded – 1/4 cup
- Oil – 2 tsp
- Curry leaves few
- Asafoetida – a pinch
Preparation
- Wash and cut snake gourd into small pieces. Remove seeds.
- Heat the pan with oil and add chana dal, urad dal, chilies, curry leaves and fry until the dal become golden.
- Add snake gourd and cook in medium flame for 10 mins. Off the flame and allow to cool.
- Grind it to a fine paste along with coconut, garlic, ginger, cumin adding a little water.
- Finally temper and add it to the ground chutney (optional)
- Ready to serve Snake gourd / pudalangai thuvaiyal/chutney with rice or dosa.
